SNAP Now Accepted at Edwards Farmers Market No comments yet

The Edwards Farmers Market now accepts food assistance/food stamps/SNAP for eligible food purchases. Plus, food stamps are DOUBLED in value through the double token program.

Here is how it works:
Visit the Estoy Sano booth to swipe Colorado Quest Card/EBT Card for a specified amount.  In exchange, receive DOUBLE the amount of tokens (up to $20) to spend on eligible food items at the market.  For example, if someone swipes their Colorado Quest card for $5, they will receive $10 in market tokens to spend.  The tokens work like cash, though no change can be given.  Unused tokens can be saved for use at future markets.  Only SNAP/food stamps are eligible for this program.

The Edwards Farmers’ Market is an old-fashioned farmers’ market, focusing on farm and food products.  Almost all of our customers are locals or second homeowners.  They are health conscious and are looking for fresh, natural and/or organic products.  Many customers are now doing much of their weekly food shopping at the Edwards Market and are leaving with 3-5 shopping bags full of the freshest, most flavorful and highest quality Colorado fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese, eggs, honey and gourmet foods.

Edwards Farmers' Market in Colorado

Hours are 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

We are excited to return for 2014!

The Edwards Farmers’ Market is an old-fashioned farm and food market. It’s the LOCALS’ market and the favorite market of second homeowners. This year marks our eleventh year of operation and we have some changes to the market to celebrate. We have decided to expand BEYOND music, bringing pet shows, magic, clowns and more! Check out the full schedule of events here. We’ll also have electric bike demos weekly, a rotating non-profit booth, and a space for Gypsum businesses to share the down valley love. However there will still be live music entertainment and dozens of booths with great food, produce and even some Colorado home grown crafts.

We specialize in fresh, local food, have a central location in downtown Edwards and have convenient, free, on-site parking. Customers are health conscious and are looking for natural and fresh products with great taste.

Pets are welcome!

The Edwards Farmers’ Market focuses on high quality Colorado farm and gourmet food products and it attracts some of the finest farmers and food vendors in Colorado. Farmers arrive early on Saturday mornings with refrigerated trucks loaded with freshly-picked conventional and organic fruit & vegetables and with Colorado lamb, beef, pork, chicken, eggs, honey and cheese. Gourmet food vendors come from all over Colorado with their freshly-made specialties.

Fruit and vegetables at the Edwards Farmers’ Market are picked just hours before you buy them. Fruit and vegetables at supermarkets are picked days and sometimes a week or more before you buy them. You can really taste the difference between vine and tree ripened Colorado fruit/vegetables and generic supermarket fare that is often picked green and shipped from hundreds or even thousands of miles away.

Specialty food vendors work from colorful tents selling freshly-made breads, pastries and pies. Others offer a delightful selection of Colorado meats; wild Alaskan seafood; pastas & sauces; jams; olive oils & balsamic vinegars; tamales; organic spices; french table linens and more. You can do much of your entire week’s food shopping at the Edwards Farmers’ Market. Selections vary weekly so arrive early for best selection.

Stop by and enjoy the market’s ambiance. Meet friends and neighbors and relax in the shade. Popular food vendors provide breakfast, brunch, Chinese dumplings, tamales, Indian specialties and more to delight your palate.
